DIY Wedding Christmas Ornament

Ever wonder what to do with those extra wedding invitations you have from your big day? Instead of keeping them in a box under the bed collecting dust, put them on display with this easy DIY tutorial.

All you need is a clear Christmas ornament, your wedding invitation, a pair of scissors, and some glitter or sequins.

This is such a great idea for gifting! You can even use birth announcements, party invitations, etc.....

If the wedding was a beach wedding you could also put little shells and sand  instead of the glitter.

It's a keepsake you will have for years to come!!

Happy crafting!!

Melted Snowman Cookies

Tis the season for baking cookies!!  I saw these online and had to try them! They were so easy to do and were a hit at my annual Holiday Sweater Party!!

What you need.......
-sugar cookie mix
-white cookie icing (Wilton)
-large marshmallows
-cookie decorating supplies (be creative!)

Whip up the sugar cookies like normal and bake! When they come out of the oven let them cool. Then apply the icing so that it does not cover the entire cookie. Squish a big fat marshmallow for the head and then decorate away!!! So much fun and everybody loves them!! An easy project for kids on a snowy day too!!

GINGERDEAD MEN

Hey guys!  Since Halloween is right around the corner I thought I would get in the halloween spirit and make some cookies to decorate. I had all the stuff from when I made my Christmas cookies but the cookie cutters were all snowflakes, ornaments and Christmas trees .....
Time to get creative!!

I used the ornament cutters to make pumpkins, the Christmas trees to make spooky ghosts and my favorite of them all....The Gingerbread men to make "GINGERDEAD MEN"

Here's just a few......

They were so much fun and easy to make!!!

Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!!

Happy Haunting!

DIY Key Tags

DIY Key Tags

Here's a simple little DIY project that anyone can do!
I always tend to find myself fumbling around with my keychain, trying to find the right key. I bought those little color coded plastic key tags to organize which key goes where, but to me, they just looked boring and made my keychain bulkier than it already was.
So I decided to make my own color coded system.

What you need
*Nail polish
*Keys

A little imagination, a glass of wine and some patience for drying time and you are done!

You can paint them anyway you want. I started with a plain base color then went over with sparkles just to make it pop. You can even use those nail polish paint pens to paint on different designs. Whatever you want, remember, YOU are the artist!

Here is my finished product......

Hope you guys like! Thanks for reading =)

Ornate Frame Mixed Media Wall Art

Recently I was at my local thrift store, or more like my "Home Away From Home" and I saw an abundance of these really cool, really cheap ornate metal frames.  I scooped them up not really sure what I was going to do with them, but had a couple ideas flying around my head.

With a little inspiration from my roommates, this was the final product.

It has definitely become a conversation piece to say the least.

Picture quality isn't the best but I assume you get the idea =)

All you need:
*an old frame
*a printer
*newspaper
*mod podge
*sponge brush

So easy! Just think of a quote or saying that you can print out. I only had white printer paper but there are other colors and shades available out there. I also used a free online photoshop to mess around with the fonts. If you go to dafont.com they have a bunch of free fonts you can download straight to your computer. There is also a great website PIXLR where you can create different layouts (kind of like Photoshop but without killing your wallet!)

I designed the font and layout I wanted then just modpodged some old newspaper to the back of the frame, lined up my words, glued them down then went over the whole thing a couple times with the ModPodge.

It really was easy! Took maybe an hour all together to do.

Hope you enjoyed this little project and remember to "Wash Your F****** Hands!"
